Rental FAQ

Q: What is the average cost for costume rentals?

A: Costume rentals start at $100 while most are between $125 to $200. Majority of our mascot costumes are $250 to rent. 

 

Q: I see R, S, P on the rental photo, what do those stand for?

A: R = Rental Fee, S = Security deposit, P = Purchase price (Yes, you can purchase some of the rental costumes).

 

Q: How long is the rental period?

A: A regular rental period is for 3 days (pick up day, day, return day). We do offer the option to extended rentals over 3 days with an additional rental fee (Fees differs on costume, please call for more information.) Costumes must be returned by date written on receipt or you will be charged 25% of the rental each day late until you forfeit the entire security deposit. For Halloween we offer an extended rental at no additional charge. Starting October 1st you may come in to rent a costume and take with you (exception apply) and have until 1 week after Halloween to return.

 

Q: Are we allowed to mix and match costume pieces or rent items separately?

A: Unfortunately no, we spend a lot of time curating the costume outfits in our collection and we like to keep everything together.

 

Q: Do I have to clean my costume before I return it?

A: You do not need to clean your costume beforehand, once returned every costume piece is cleaned thoroughly before being put back on the rack. The costume MUST be returned in same/similar condition you rented it for. Small removable stains are acceptable as long as they come out. If the stains do not come out, you will be notified of any additional cleaning fees before charged. (Fee will be determined by staff depending on damage.)

 

Q: Can I reserve a rental in advance?

A: Yes you can! Once you have picked out your costume, to reserve it, you must first pay the rental fee and give the dates you would like to reserve. The costume is taken off the rack and put on a hold rack where it waits for you to pick it up. (You may pay the security deposit in advance or wait for pick up.)

 

Q: What happens if I reserve my rental in advance and I want to cancel it?

A: There is a cancellation fee if you decide to cancel at any time after processing. 25% of the rental fee will be deducted from your refund as a restocking fee.

 

Q: What is the security deposit for? Do you charge the security deposit to my credit card?

A: Yes a security deposit has to be put down in order to rent a costume. Any rental within the regular rental period (3 days) the security deposit is run as an authorization and not a charge. Meaning the security deposit amount is a hold on the card, once the costume is returned the hold is released in 3-7 business days. We do accept cash for security deposits but please note that you will receive a company check back when the costume is returned, not cash.

* If your rental period is extended the security deposit will be charged to your credit card (We do not accept Debit cards/American Express for this option.) *

 

Q: What is the rental process like for Halloween?

A: For Halloween we would like to give you as much use out of your rental costume. Therefore our rental period (with some exceptions) starts October 1st and lasts until a week following Halloween day. You may reserve a costume ahead of the first of the month and pick up any time after the 1st. All security deposits during the month of October are charged to your credit card because of the extended rental period. The security deposit will be refunded in full at the time of return as long as there is no damage or additional cleaning fees. We do accept cash for security deposits but please note that you will receive a company check back when the costume is returned, not cash.

 

Q: What if I fall in love with my costume?

A: Hey, it happens! If you rent a costume and fall in love with it all you have to do is give us a call and you will forfeit your security deposit and the costume becomes yours! 

 

Q: Can I have alterations done to my rental costume?

A: Of course! We have alteration specialists in store that can help you with anything you need. We discourage you from having alterations done to rental costumes outside of the store because we alter our costumes in a way that can be undone for the next person to rent (meaning we do not cut or remove anything).
