A Match Box Vanishing Act For Small Crowd Performances

This Match Boxes gimmick is a great trick for beefing up your magician’s bag of tricks. It’s also small enough to take with you for walk up and street performances for performers who cut their teeth working small groups of spectators.

The effect starts with letting a spectator place a coin or a similar small object inside the first match box in the kit. The match box is then bound with rubber bands to give the illusion of being sealed. With minimal sleight of hand the box is then presented back to the spectator. When opened, there’s a smaller bound match box inside. When that one is opened there is a silk bound with yet more rubber bands. Nested deep inside is the original coin the spectator offered up.
