When it was first filmed, the movie Rocky was a very low budget affair. No one expected it to amount to much at the box office, and that lead to a lot of corners being cut in the budget. Along the way, they managed to get Rocky an oversized robe that spoke to how little respect the character or Rocky Balboa got and how little they thought of the movie. He walks about advertising meat on his back and doing everything he could not to trip over his own red and gold trimmed robe. In the end, he stunned the world by going the distance with Apollo Creed and boggled the box office by becoming one of the top grossing movies of the year.
