There are a lot of horror movies that features machetes and axes, but nothing catches the crowd’s attention like the firing up of a chainsaw. The growl of the engine and the snarl of the blade induces a deep fear that cannot be denied. Of course, the fickle nature of small two-stroke engines also makes chainsaws prone to being hard to start and stopping at the most dramatic of moments thanks to simple things like an improperly cleaned carburetor or fuel that was mixed at 25:1 instead of 40:1. That’s probably kept movies like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise so popular for so many years.
Of course, using a real chainsaw in your haunted house or low-budget indie horror film is rarely a good idea. Beyond the fact that they are unusually heavy, they are tough to handle with confidence in close quarters. Not to mention the blue, heavy smoke they spew out. Fortunately, this Small Bloody Chainsaw looks just like the real thing and is festooned with gruesome blood.
