The Great Emancipator

Abraham Lincoln was known for a great number of addresses and political maneuvers. Though his greatest stamp on history is that of the President who kept the Union together during the US Civil War and then finally putting an end to slavery. That’s probably why Honest Abe the Great Emancipator is remembered so often in school plays and community theater performances. Of course, for a child actor to really feel the part they need a great costume like this one.

Honest Abe At His Finest

Right off the bat, there is a lot to like about this Abraham Lincoln/ Frederick Douglass costume. It can double as Abraham Lincoln, or the famous African American philosopher Frederick Douglas. The costume comes with a jacket with attached vest, neck tie and top hat. Shoes and parchment not included. Beard sold separately. Complete the look with a white collared shirt. It can be also used for other historical figures such as Andrew Jackson. This costume is available in youth sizes medium, large and extra-large to fit most youth actors.

1830 presentation for Literature

My grandson portrayed Henry Bibb who lectured with Frederick Douglas. He got 100% on his presentation. He was dressed period correct. The outfit was well made and it came within 4 days. My grandson is 14 and hooes he will have a reason to wear it jn high school next year
