In the movies you sometimes see an actor grab a seemingly innocent wine bottle and break it open with ease on the big brass bar rail to produce an improvised knife. Though if you did this in real life the bottle is usually so hard that it bounces off the bar rail flying out of your hand. The reality is that modern glass making has evolved to the point where it’s much harder to break a beer bottle with dramatic flair than it used to be in the old west. So, that’s where a stage-quality glass bottle made from polymer plastics like this one comes in handy.
This stage-craft wine bottle is made from Breakaway Glass. It measures in at 9 3/8” X 2 1/4” X 1” and is made from mixture of polymer plastic materials. It can hold liquid at room temperature, and will not break with normal handling. You can even put your own label on it to match the scene, though it might affect the way the glass breaks in a scene.
