When you first look at the packaging of this “Dry Scorpion” trick it truly gives you the impression that there is indeed a dried or perhaps even live scorpion inside the specimen box. Right off the bat this opens the door to infuse the gag with your own dramatic flair. This truly could play as a scorpion version of Schrodinger's cat. Is the scorpion truly dead and dried? Or is it perhaps still alive and dangerous?
When you give the box a shake it even rattles like there is something venomous inside.
The truth is that, unless you add one as a prop, there is no scorpion in this trick at all. It’s actually an A4 size piece of card stock paper with a little rubber band inside. You can recreate how you want to deploy it as you see fit. This makes it a great option for soliciting and emotional response from your chosen spectator, as well as an opportunity for you to further develop your dramatic performance skills.
Best of all, the price tag is very friendly. So, you don’t have to worry about the dry scorpion trick stinging your performance prop budget.
