Card magic is one of the most popular places for novice magicians to get their feet wet. Though it is often so beloved that card magic stays with most accomplished magicians throughout their performance career. The challenge is being able to deploy and develop enough new card magic tricks to keep your routine fresh. Especially for repeat performances and return audiences. Stepping up to fill this critical need is a book like this Krazy KArd by Kenton Knepper with one of Kenton’s greatest card gimmicks.
This Kenton card trick starts with a spectator choosing any card in the presented deck. This is a free choice that feels like a true “Fair” play to optimize the suspension of disbelief. The card is then shown to be the only blue card in an otherwise red deck. Then in the blink of an eye, the card turns back into a red-backed card. Only to return to blue a moment later.
You then claim that trying to change the card too many times is simply too much effort. So, the card is finally displayed to have no face at all, and rather a blue back printed on one side and a red back printed on the other. The rest of the cards are completely normal. All without you having to perform a double lift!
