Historically, coffins started out as a very functional ways to contain a human body after death. Not only did they spare people from having to see the rapid effects of decomposition, in the era before embalming, but it also went a long way toward preventing the spread of diseases. Especially if that person shuffled off this mortal coil while in the throws of a communicable disease. By the time the Civil War came around, the seemingly humble coffin was transformed into a functional way to transport the bodies of fallen soldiers. A few were even used to smuggle secret communications. Of course, bearing the dead, also meant attaching some semblance of status, which inspired coffins and their related fashions to evolve.
If you describe your fashion style as being goth or alternative, then the last thing you want is a bright pink Gucci purse standing out from the rest of your ensemble. That’s where this Metallic Cross Coffin Bag in Vinyl comes in perfectly. It looks every square inch like an elevated coffin, transformed into a functional handbag loaded with modern organization solutions.
