A fair number of charity organizations and holiday fundraisers have a person standing at a door, in the blistering cold of winter ringing a bell to remind people that every little bit helps those in need. If you need to be one of these people or you support their efforts and you need something to ring out against the darkness of apathy, then this hand bell might just be the perfect thing to draw them in.
Beyond holiday season charities, you actually see hand bells like this one showing up in a lot of different places. Buddhist masters ring them to dismiss students who have failed to answer their koan correctly, dowagers give them a jingle to summon afternoon tea and quaint resorts set them at the reception desk to summon hosts from the back. Though for how popular they are, they are a little hard to find at a price as friendly as this Santa Hand Bell. It measures in at 4.5-inches tall, and makes a delightful “Ding.”
