The TV show little house on the Prairie was written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, and based on her childhood and adolescence in the American Midwest throughout Wisconsin, Kansas, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Missouri. It spanned a period of time between 1870 and 1894. It later became a very popular TV series starring Michael Landon and a family of women dressed in the white bonnets that were popular for ladies and girls to wear during the later pioneer era.
This white bonnet is perfect for school plays depicting pioneer women as well as costume parties with a pioneering theme. It is made from the same special polyester-based material that you see being used in costume departments throughout the TV and movie industry.
