For Immigrants coming to America in the 19th and early 20th Century, the Statue of Liberty was a relieving scene that welcomed them to the land of opportunity. For many of these huddled masses, the lady guarding New York harbor and Ellis Island was heralded by her torch that shown the light of freedom was available to everyone.
From the earliest days of elementary school we are taught about the importance of freedom, opportunity, and equality for all. It is still the sort of thing we see showing up in important school plays and stage productions. If this sounds like the sort of thing you are trying to pull off, then you need a quality prop like this Statue of Liberty Torch. Great care was put into designing it to look just like the one Lady Liberty holds, while still being lightweight enough for a child or adult to hold up high for an entire scene.
